At FORCE Technology’s New Business & Technologies division – Hydro- & Aerodynamics in Lyngby – we provide services to the global construction and maritime industries. This includes advanced ship simulations, as well as experimental and computational evaluation of buildings, bridges, ships, and offshore structures to assess and optimize their performance.

As our new Project Engineer, you will be an important part of this journey.

About the role and key responsibilities
As our new Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the daily coordination, planning, and execution of towing tank projects. The setup and testing in the towing tank will be carried out in close cooperation with our skilled technicians.
We offer a position in a dedicated and experienced team within a company that is strongly committed to assisting global clients through value-creating consultancy services related to ship and offshore hydrodynamics.
Your key tasks will include:
- Model design, setup of measuring equipment, and execution of tests
- Data analysis and reporting
- Dialogue with clients during projects
- Participation in the team’s consultancy activities
The Tank Team is part of the Department for Hydro- and Aerodynamics and handles all tasks related to tank testing and hydrodynamics for ships, offshore structures, and floating wind turbine foundations, including R&D activities. The team also provides consultancy support to our clients based on measured results, assisting with design optimization and troubleshooting.
You will be based at our office in Lyngby.

Your profile
You likely hold a master’s degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on naval architecture and have a strong interest in experimental work and data acquisition. Furthermore, we imagine that you bring:
- Knowledge of ship hydrodynamics
- Experience with and understanding of data analysis
- Skills in programming (e.g., MATLAB) and familiarity with 3D design tools (e.g., Rhino/NAPA) – preferred
- Strong planning skills and the ability to execute projects on time and within scope
- A service-oriented mindset and enjoyment in engaging with clients
In addition, you have an analytical and structured approach to your work, enjoy practical tasks in the tank environment, and take pride in delivering professional and high-quality services to clients.
